McGraw Hill 1987 I found it an excellent introduction to computer graphics from bresenhams all the way through 3-d animation and interactive graphic techniques. He basically follows the CORE graphics standard, and if you follow the book from begining to end and impliment the algorithms that he presents, you will end up with an excellent knowledge of core, as well as a reasonable implementation of it.
