Keywords: Downloading IBM Adobe Fonts Message-ID: <10573@ibmpcug.UUCP> Date: 23 Mar 89 13:44:36 GMT Organization: The IBM PC User Group, UK. Lines: 30 I'm new to PostScript and have an IBM PC (compatible) and a AST TurboLaser/PS (PostScript ver 47). I produce a newsletter which uses fonts not in the standard 35 (actually Garamond and Helvetica Condensed/Black). Having purchased the fonts from Adobe I discovered that I seem to have to use thier arcane downloading program that only works on the serial line (the AST has a Parallel). Is there a way of writing a Portscript program to wrap the fonts in and download them to the printer. This could then be wrapped up in a batch file so that I don't have to worry about it first thing every morning. Any help would be gratefully received.
