A conclusion and a warning.  The problem is related to recent advise from
SUN regarding sharing a single mail spool area amongst clients.  For
some reason this results in sendmail connections getting rerouted to the
file server.  The problem appears to be sendmail leaving garbage files
behind.  This does not appear to be a problem with MH at all.  Thanks
to everyone who tried to help on this.
