My company is in the position of selling our Laboratory software in britain, through a third party. What I am interested in finding out about is the general cost of computing in Britain, on high end machines. The lab system typically requires a computer with 100 or more ports, and about 1 Gig on line disk space. In our installation it is running on a HoneyWell DPS 6. My problem is that the prices we were discussing with the folks in Britain were about a quarter that of the north american price (we've been told that the system would sell for $50,000 in britain, were as it sells for well over $200,000 here). I would welcome any thoughts on the british market, particularly from those seeing it first hand.
