On the whole, these are ports of Version 1. > Thanks to Steve for the wanderer version summary. I would like to add an additional comment, though. The "ega-wanderer" that was recently posted to comp.sources.games is a port of Version 2.2. In addition to working with various displays on PC's it is also backwards compatable with the Unix curses version. Thus, if you have (or can get) a copy of ega-wanderer you will have the latest "released" version. Ega-wanderer was posted without the screens, however, so you'll have to get them from the 'wand-screens' posting (2 parts). Seeing also as how 'ega-wanderer' is a superset of wanderer 2.2, it would seem to me to be the logical starting place for an updated X-windows port (and maybe even the released version of 2.3). -Bill Randle Moderator, comp.sources.games Tektronix, Inc. billr@saab.CNA.TEK.COM
