I wrote a simple optimizer for HPGL consisting of label (text) commands;
it converts labels of whitespace to pen translation commands.  If you happen
to use your plotter this way, I'll post it.  Plotters are not very fast
text printers, but you can sure put a lot of text on an E-size.
