Or could someone from ReadySoft fill me in? Thanks! >-- There is a comprehensive article in the first issue of Amiga Plus about AMaxx (the Mac Emulator). Some basics: $200 cost (w/out Mac ROMs) and should come out in April (my roommate called ReadySoft to verify this). Plugs into the floppy drive port, either the one on the Amiga itself, or the extender port on your external. Contains a Mac Drive port. Supposedly has beaten the memory problem (emulator is tricked into thinking space between chip and fast mem is permanently allocated, rather than nothing). Cannot make Mac noice, other than sysbeep (no samples). Runs Hypercard, Multifinder, MacWrite 5.0, and lots of other good stuff. Most problems are with game software (which Ami does better anyway). Oh yeah, it translates Imagewriter codes into Epson codes, so you don't have to buy an Imagewriter to print out. Sounds good - my roomie is on the waiting list already... -=- ============================================================================== | Jim Gaynor..."The Vampire Lestat" UseNet: gaynor@cis.ohio-state.edu | | The Ohio State University - Dept. of Philosophy, Dept. of Computer Science | >> "Women are meant to be loved, not to be understood." -Oscar Wilde <<
