I have just acquired a small keyboard (Casio MT240), which contains a MIDI
interface, and would like to use it with my 1040ST.

I don't think I will ever get into electronic music in a big way, so I don't
want to spend a lot of money on software, but would like to get something
basic to learn what MIDI is all about.  Is there anything out there in
public-domain land that will get me started?  If not, I would appreciate
recommendations for basic commercial programs.
