That way it would move very smoothly and would (hopefully) have reliable hardware, however, I do not understand why you would want a different case than the Atari mouse. I feel the Atari mouse is the most comfortable mouse that I have ever used (I have used many mice, and the only one that comes close to the Atari mouse is the Mac II mouse). The only complaint I have about the Atari mouse is that its buttons are a little stiff. I would much rather have an Atari mouse on my mac+ than the piece of junk that came with it!
