They are from Yugoslavia and call themselves Borghesia (as far as I can tell, there is more than one person in the group). I found the records in the used record bins, and since the LPs were only $4, I figured they were worth that much for novelty alone. Borghesia is another one of the Eastern European Industrial-Noise-Dance combos. I don't know much about the genre, but I thought the two albums were pretty boring. They weren't as poppy as Ministry or Sisters of Mercy, but they weren't as edgy as Tackhead or Negativeland. I bet you could slip Borghesia on between two industrial bands' performances, and no one would notice. But like I said, I don't know much about industrial music. The cover art on one was done on an ST, and it is pretty good. The inner sleeve on the other is a collage incorporating some screen dumps of ST screens. Don't plan to sing along to most of the songs if you don't know Yugoslavian. They used a 1040 ST, and Steinberg software. The label is: Play it Again Sam USA John Kawakami c60c-3ds@web.berkeley.edu
