I could copy a file (vmunix was my primary example,) compare them, and find I had two different files! Well I now believe we've conquered the problem. After discussions with Micropolis it seems that some of the drives they ship don't come with the current ROMs. The drives I have now work reliably (and have been doing so for a whole week of brutal testing.) To summarize, the drives I have right now are ROM Version 19V0 (rzdisk -i gives you this info, as does test -c in the ROM monitor.)
