Specifically, I am interested in hardware flexibility, for example, - possible to modify and/or disable functions such as collision detection. - will work with different clock. Or better yet, has a variable clock. (10MHz <-> 100KHz range???) am hoping to take advantage of the programmability and xmt & rcv hardware provided by the card, but not be forced to the use the full ethernet protocol.
