The ramifications of this are interesting. Xerox has recently been mentioned as a takeover target and Apple would have a lot to gain in such a deal. The argument that Xerox "really" owns any copyrights or patents on graphical interface technology would become moot. Of course the cost may not be worth it in the eyes of Apple.
