Computing and Information Technology Lines: 16 I'm in the process of getting rid of a computing dinosaur, an old CP/M system whose only salvagable component is a Diablo 630 printer. I need some help with trying to get a cable to connect it to a 386 clone we recently acquired (a Northgate, 20 MHz-- very nice, as far as we can tell, by the way). It's got a parallel port on the back which uses a connector which very much resembles the Centronics 36 pin parallel connector found on, for example, an HP Laserjet, but which uses 50 pins instead. Unfortunately I don't have the manual for the printer anymore, so I don't even know things like pinouts for building a cable. Does anyone out there have any idea where one might get a cable for such a beastie? -Antonio Romero romero@confidence.princeton.edu
