Lines: 12 Are there any hardware experts out there who can answer the following: Should you turn off your 1. computer (assuming a hard disk) 2. monitor 3. printer (e.g. LaserJet) if they are not going to be used for a period of time? And if so what is the period of time that would be necessary to indicate that you should turn them off? I also remember seeing somewhere (perhaps in this newsgroup?) that the "screen saver" programs that turn off the screen after a certain period of non-usage are not altogether satisfactory since they leave some "harmful" activity going on in a CRT. True?
