Keywords: NightWatch, MacSafe, protection Message-ID: <7354@thorin.cs.unc.edu> Date: 21 Mar 89 18:51:43 GMT Sender: news@thorin.cs.unc.edu Distribution: usa Lines: 21 Here in our Computer Science Department, there are a few Macintoshes which we would like to be able to keep from prying eyes. More specifically, one of the secretaries has an office such that her Macintosh can be cut on in the evenings when no one is there. Since all graduates have access and others could probably get in, we would like to make it so that only she can access the hard drive. I know of the products NightWatch and MacSafe and understand how they work, what I am interested in are some opinions of how well they work. Also, I was wondering if anyone knows of any other similar programs. If you have any info please respond via e-mail to (markham@sunmail.cs.unc.edu). I will also be reading comp.sys.mac, so you may post responses there also. Thanks for any and all help provided. Andy Markham Computer Science Department University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill
