I read lots of comments about LaCie hard disks.  Most people said that their
software is reasonably flexible.  However, these people also said that their
disks gave out high pitch noises after running for a while.  Some of these
people's disks either crashed or broken down.

Is there anyone out there that owned a LaCie hard disk for more than a year
and don't have any of the above problems ?

Did anyone successfully fixed the high pitch problem once and for all ?

Seems like Rodime, Segate, and Quantum are the three most reliable brands.
Am I right ?
