  Sounds like the initial version of IconWrap, the source to which I posted
here back in November (88). That version did something unspeakable: it tail-
patched CopyBits. This led to some weird and not-so-wonderful effects on
68020 and 68030 machines, although it operated just fine on a 68000 Mac.
The most-often noticed problem was with HyperCard fields: if you scrolled
in a field, instant bus error.

  The current version of IconWrap, 1.1, is substantially improved... it
should be showing up in comp.binaries.mac soon (it's already on GeNIE and
CIS, I believe.)  While it's still a CopyBits patch, it was rewritten to
eliminate the above problems, and so far I've had no trouble with it on
any machine... 1.1 still ignores color icons, but this will be fixed in
1.2 :-)
