Hello Friends !!!

In HyperCard  I choose tools like "pencil" or "line".
I tried to use the mouse event routines  "on mouseUp" and "on mouseDown",
but it does not operate

Does somebody has an idea how can I recieve these mouse events even when
the HC is in "line tool" or pencil tool" etc. ?
