Here's what you have to do:

1) Make sure you have the latest version of Macintalk (version 1.31).
2) After calling other sounds, but before you reopen Macintalk, close
the sound driver, then reopen it again.

You might have to send a string of phonic noise when Macintalk is first
started up, to kind of "kick start" it.}i
