In a psycholinguistic experiment I am involved in we need to play a selected part (i.e. from x ms. to y ms.) of a 'snd ' resource from within HyperCard. Since the normal play command cannot do this, I decided to write an XCMD to perform this task. It wasn't too difficult to get it to work when I ran it as a separate application, but when I turned into an XCMD the sound simply doesn't play. I don't understand what might be wrong. Does HyperCard monopolize the sound hardware in any way, or what? If anyone has any idea what I've done wrong please let me know. +-------------------------+--------------------------------+------------------+ | Sven Axelsson | d83_sven_a@tekno.chalmers.se | DISCLAIMER: | | dep:t of Linguistics | (^^ best ^^) | | | univ. of Gothenburg | dlv_sa@hum.gu.se | This is not | | SWEDEN | usdsa@seguc21.bitnet | a disclaimer. | +-------------------------+--------------------------------+------------------+
