The dental office my wife works at has a proprietary computer system
sold by Triad.  It is built around an Altos 586T CPU with a couple of
terminals.  They would like to do some simple PC style things like
maintaining a check book, but Triad wants a lot of money to add each
little feature.  Is this Altos really just a CP/M or MS-DOS machine
underneath the proprietary software?  Could they buy off-the-shelf
software for it?
