Unfortunately, the transcript software leaves /var/spool/lw/lw-log empty..... HOW ??? I installed a "options" in /var/spool/lw (and in /) with `sh VERBOSELOG=1 ; export VERBOSELOG` in it. also UID & GID daemon for the permissions set in /var/spool/lw/* and /var/spool/lw also. When i peeked in /var/spool/lw i saw some temp files created, that contained the proper info for the log file, but they are not appened: zappa# cat errsa15855 psif: zappa:marcel lw start - Thu Mar 9 12:58:37 1989 I also tried to set ownership "du=1:" in /etc/printcap. no succes ;-) when i did an lpr ehandler.ps, the hackers could finally read their garbage. We are running transcript on a 3/50 SUNOS 4.0 (discless client) Any suggestions ?? Greetings from: Marcel Bernards, UNIX & Net sysadm Netherlands Energy Research Foundation ECN P.O.
