I'm customing the sendmail.cf file and noticed that the $m macro isn't getting set. $m seems to be something new (don't see it in 3.5), supposedly it's the domainname. This could be useful, if it worked. What should sendmail be setting it to? The yp domainname, or the internet domainname? On our sun4s, the domainname command returns our yp domainname, trcf. We're not running named on the sun4s (they get named service from our gateway machine), but the sun4s have a resolv.conf which sets our internet domain, nprdc.navy.mil. $m isn't being set to anything. Any ideas? Is this a feature that hasn't been implemented yet; ie, go back to hardwiring it into sendmail.cf? Thanks, Ron Stanonik stanonik@nprdc.navy.mil
