has anyone had experience with getting Sun to support hardware which is
connected to third party disk drives?  do they insist on having the
hardware in question boot from a Sun disk?  does the machine's root
partition and swap partition have to be on a Sun disk as well?

i'd be interested to read any anecdotes people have about this subject.
