This is what would be expected outside of emacs, but while in emacs, the CTL-s key sequence may be used for searching (CTL-s) or saving (CTL-x CTL-s). I am using GNU emacs version 18, and the problem occurs close to 50% of the time. I am able to "unhold" the screen by typing CTL-q. However, I must exit to allow the CTL-s key sequence to work properly. Any help appreciated. Jeff Sullivan ( cvbnet!killington.prime.com!jsulliva )
