Lines: 19 Does anyone out there has any data about the performance difference between an 8000 fileserver with one of those 380meg trident (removable) disk and an 1108-turned 8000 fileserver with a 42meg local disk ? Assuming that both machines are only loaded with File Service and Clearinghouse Service and both have the same amount of RAM and other hardware facilities are the same. I know that the access time for the trident disk is about 51ms. Does anyone know the access time for the 42meg local disk on a typical 1108 ? Any pointers will be much appreciated.
