This is equiv. to scaling by 500, 333, 250, 125, etc. If your document asks for cmr10.300pk, it'll display this font in a variety of different sizes for you (the shrinks). What it won't do is scaled cmr10.600 down when you need cmr10.300 & don't have it. I notice that the version of texsun with the TeX distribution is waaaay out of date.
