Has the author of "xpaint" done his total rewrite yet?  Can he let us know
how soon it will be done?

In case you missed my little wish list, here it goes again:

	Output of the image to a postscript file.
			"   to GIF and other forms.
	Input of GIF and other forms(minus postscript).
	Input and output in MacPaint format.
	Support for 2 - 24 planes of color or greyscale.
	Conversion of color images to greyscale(dither and such).
	And all basic paint tools such as those found in the current
		xpaint and those found in MacPaint.

I hope the author is listening.  We love your xpaint utility and were
looking forward for the new version.
