The current release should allow you to easily port code using only Xlib routines. Our experience has shown little difficulty with the X11 part of the code, especially after release 3. The real difficulties occur with operating system dependent stuff that does not involve X. The SDC version of DECWindows and the release 3 intrensics are very close together as well....
