I tried rlogin to media-lab.media.mit.edu from freeside.ai.mit.edu (bobcat), and then rlogin to a media lab bobcat. When I run emacs on scrappy (the media lab bobcat), the refresh is VERY slow. Whenever I hit ^L, or ^V (or meta-V) emacs displays the screen excruciatingly slowly. My TERM is always = 300h and it doesn't matter which bobcat I rlogin to. Also, I tried `more' and `cat' from my shell prompt, and they work fine, so it's not a problem with the network communications. I also tried rlogin from ATHENA -> MEDIA-LAB -> bobcat (with TERM = xterm), and got similar results. -- Curtis
