GNU Emacs 18.52.6 of Wed Mar  8 1989 on guinan (xenix)

There are some files in my lisp directory whose filename length was fourteen
characters. This being the limit on filenames in System V (or Xenix), the
files were overwritten when they were byte-compiled.

Is there any way to decompile a byte-compiled file?
