   Apple and to ignore their work and desire to contribute 
   because of their return address will only build bad feelings
   for years to come. I don't see the need.

Contributions from people who work for Apple that aren't concerned
with porting GNU code to Apple systems (e.g. improvements to the code
that benefit everyone, or bug reports on systems other than those
manufacured by Apple) will be reviewed on the same basis as
contributions from anyone else.
