For some strange reason the announcement that the vote to create sci.chem
was "successful" was made in the newly created sci.chem and not cross-
posted.  So, those of us at sites that do not immediately pick up new
groups were left in the dark.  I only found out second hand that sci.chem
had been voted in, and then promptly urged my site administrator to
pick it up.
