Moran Jr.) The book ``The Forgotten Soldier'' by Guy Sajer has recently been reprinted by The Nautical & Aviation Publishing Co.; it is ISBN 0-933852-82-7. This is one of the best books on war from the foot soldiers point of view (IMHO). It would rank right up there with All Quiet. Anyway, Guy Sajer was a German soldier in WW 2, and the book is about his experiences. For most of the book he was in the Gross Deutschland division; the book covers 1942 through the end of the war. Most of this time, he was serving against the Russians. It is well written. I would recommend it highly. PS. Needless to say, I have no personal interest in this book or publisher.
