I am doing some marketing research on expert system shells and
am looking for any data I can find.  Specific questions are:

1)  What shells are currently on the market?  How many have been sold?
2)  What are the characteristics of organizations buying shells?
3)  What is the potential market for a shell (that is, if I had a shell
    that was incredibly wonderful, how many copies could I expect to
    sell?

I realize that these questions are vague.  Right now I am trying to
find out what information is available so that I can come up with
a reasonable description of the current market and the potential
market.  Specifically, I am looking for studies (surveys, etc.) and
estimates that have some basis in reality.
