If history is even slightly useful, I'd bet that the '486 gives the 68030 (yes, that's a three) a run for its money. The '40's probably out of its class. Intel has a nasty habit of being about a generation behind Motorola with this family...Of course, I haven't seen the specs on either (oblig. excuse:I've been busy). Anyone care to post/mail?
