We've been using Ingres for 3+ yeats, and have not had many problems in this area. Usually when we have, we can trace the source of the problem to someone doing something silly, like shooting a backend. I would like to hear more about this, and expect others in the Ingres community would, too. What are the circumstances? What environment? Bruce
