Some of the attributes of the ideal system are: - must run on UTS (Amdahl 580) - database size: 350 mbytes - 2 gigabytes - C-language programming interface - database initiated from UNIX flat (tab) files - must be able to recreate original flag files - add new fields to database after initiation - set of shell level database utilities - regex-based search on ANY/ALL fields - record/field locking by field(s) value - post many (~100K) transactions at a time - checkpoint/crash recovery restart - relational NOT a requirement - xQL, nGL search NOT a requirement - price is NOT an issue Any ideas or leads (even sales calls) would be appreciated.
