Hello people.  I'm an emacs-novice and so apologize if this is
a RTFM type of question.   How do I get the VT220 function keys to work?

I've done an "enable-arrow-keys" but that only turned on the arrow keys.
Same thing happens after M-x load-library  term/vt220

Emacs seems to soak up some of the other keys.. e.g. some of the
gray keypad keys  ESC [ 12 ~   it soaks up the first three but
then pretends as if I typed 2~ and inserts them into the file.

And how do I bind these to specific commands?  


And of course, how do I change "control-S" to "control-\" (like jove)
in all contexts?  (I'm sure its in there somewhere but it's definitely
not obvious to me.)
