Yes, the basic problem is that AT&T modified the output from lint to make
it somewhat more understandable to humans (or so I hear).  At any rate,
this means that tools that used to understand lint output don't anymore.
What this means is that it might be necessary to create a special case for
lint output in the error parser for compile.el

If anybody has any solutions/comments, please feel free to join the
discussion.
