Phone number is (203)426-1875. Brad Cox has written a book on object oriented programming which contains information on objective c but is not really a complete introduction to the language (I believe the title is Object Oriented Programming or something like that). There are three books available on c++ that I know of. One is by Stroustrup (The c++ programming language), another by John Berry (The waite group's c++ programming) and a third by Richard Wiener and some other author (I forget the title). The one by John Berry is an easy introduction c++ which makes the language approachable. I know of no references that do a comprehensive comparison of the languages although they are both discussed in the book by Cox and in a book on Eiffel by Bertrand Meyer. I don't have a lot of experience in c++ or objective c but I have been playing around with both languages for a while. It seems that the syntax of c++ is quite a bit closer to c than that of objective c and I'm finding it more natural to understand. ----- Gerry Wiener Email:gerry@toadwar.ucar.edu
