I am firmly convinced that, given EQUAL EXPERIENCE with vi and with a comparable editor on the Mac, the average person will be much more productive with the Mac. Especially if that experience is limited, or occasional. Remember: "user friendly" is another term for "whatever the user is accustomed to."
