Has anyone successfully implemented the Levenberg-Marquardt algorithm
described in W. H. Press et al., Numerical Recipes in C, p. 545 ff?
I have successfully compiled the relevant routines and a 'driver'
program from their 'examples' diskette. When executed the gaussian
parameters are not updated.  I would appreciate any comments from
others who have implemented these algorithms.
