Once in a while I have to rebuild the paths database used by smail for
resolving paths. I was told to include smart-host in the database, but I
don't know for sure why it is necessary (I thought sendmail would take
care of it). Could somebody care to comment on this?

Also, is there an easier way to insert this in the paths database other
than editing this huge file?
