Pardon my ignorance if this has been asked before but...

Is it possible to use CAP on a network that uses only liason bridges or
do you have to have a gateway? We had the same quality problems with
K boxes that several other people reported and switched over. We recently
put a couple of unix machines on the ethernet and would like to use
cap to provide print and file service. Is this possible?

In a similar vein, why doesn't the ethernet driver for unix 4.3 allow the
sending and receiving of raw ethernet packets filtered by protocol type?
That would solve the whole problem. Maybe someone with access to the
4.3 sources could fix it up so that you could open a REALLY raw socket.
