It supports GIF and IFF as well as several other formats and allows conversions to and from most of the formats it supports. It and another package called PBM together form a useful set of tools for image conversion and manipulation. It is available via anonymous ftp from nl.cs.cmu.edu (128.2.222.56). I use it routinely on a 4.3bsd unix vax, but have not yet attempted to compile it on my Amiga, so I can't tell you whether or not that is an easy port. Butler Hine hine@galileo.arc.nasa.gov
