They are on nl.cs.cmu.edu (128.2.222.56) in the directory /usr/mlm/ftp. The FBM source is called fbm09.tar.Z (this is the beta 0.9 version with IFF support). The complementary package for binary B&W images (a la Mac) is also there and is called pbm.tar.Z. I also got some mail from Kenn Barry at barry@eos.arc.nasa.gov (right next door!) who has done a port to the Amiga and says that it is not very difficult. For those of you who are using the QRT ray tracer, I have written a program: qrt2fbm, which translates the raw QRT output into native FBM format (QRT is a very nice ray tracer with a relatively clear input language that runs on Amigae and Un*x machines). I am working on a method of locking the palettes of the IFF translation so that I can make animations using the QRT output. I'll keep you guys posted on the progress.
