Take a look at GFA Basic for the Amiga, its *fast*, it comes close to the speed
of lightning ! You can compile the stuff and see graphics movement as fast as
written in _C_ , don't know if its already availble but if you're interested
send me a message and I'll ask the US distributor's name (if there is any).
 
To give you a little feeling of the situation and improvements over AmgaBASIC,
its the same as moving from OFS to FFS on your harddrive.
