Life went downhill. Disk crashing (errors upon validation, Read/Write errors). I seriously doubt the disk is at fault (for a number of reasons) . The boot partition (non FFS) mounts and has not yet given me trouble. As soon as I mount another partition, the world goes to hell. Lots of gurus. No, I didn't write the number down - I will, though. I have also noticed the parallel port *may* not be working. No floppy trouble. Query: Is it possible I trashed the chip which drive the parallel port? I don't have schematics at work, but it just occured to me - does the same chip control disk i/o? The 2620 is brand new - are there any validation programs available?
